Port of New Bedford

The port of New Bedford is a deepwater commercial port located in. The port supports a variety of projects as industrial, commercial, and recreational activities.
The port has the hurricane barrier by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The port has the access to the maritime corridor from the Massachusetts coast, located on the northwestern side of Buzzard’s Bay. The economics depend upon the industrial use in the north terminal and south terminal along with the New Bedford Ferry Terminal at State Pier. 
The New Bedford’s commercial port has been into fishing. Along with the fishing commercials, the port does cargo and has over $230 million for shipping in bulk and break-bulk cargo
